Groundbreaking for P&S Machining and Fabrication/Aviation Business Center April 2008
The Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a groundbreaking event on April 18, 2008 for P & S Machining and Fabrication Company. In 1997, we purchased the business from our father after managing the company for several years. We are committed to continue operating in Alamance County by breaking ground on a new building for operation and additional office space to lease to other users.
Today, P&S Machining and Fabrication takes raw metal and machines and fabricates products to a customers specification often detailed by a blueprint. The typical products include; shafts, heat sinks, mounting plates, brackets, electrical enclosures, meter housings and work fixtures are just some of the products produced. Materials used in the products include: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, and plastics.
The company was designed to serve local companies and now serves companies throughout the US as well as Puerto Rico and Mexico. To continue our commitment to our current as well as future customers we made the decision to build a modern and efficient state-of-the-art facility.
The 10-acre tract, located on Tucker Street Extension, will be known as Aviation Business Center. On the site, a 50,000 square feet building for manufacturing space, expandable to 100,000 square feet will be constructed. In addition, there will be 15,000 square feet of office space and 12,500 will be available for lease. We currently employ approximately 30 people and this newly expanded facility will enable us to realize our growth plans.
